Clipt Terms of Service

These are the rules for using Clipt, the app and the game. Clipt is made by Static Motion, LLC ("we," "us"). By making an account you're agreeing to them, so here they are in plain words.

1. WHO CAN PLAY

You have to be 13 or older. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to play. One account per person; it's yours, and you're responsible for what happens on it. Keep your password to yourself.

2. WHAT CLIPT IS

Clipt is a game you play with a real clothespin that carries a QR code. Players scan a clip, decorate it, and pass it to someone else, and the app records the chain. The clips are physical objects that pass between real people; Clipt doesn't control who hands a clip to whom, and can't promise a clip will keep traveling or come back.

3. HOW TO BEHAVE

Clipt is for being kind to strangers with a clothespin. So:

• Decorations, messages, and screen names must be things you'd be fine with a 13-year-old and their parent reading. No harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, or anything meant to hurt or scare another player.
• Don't try to find out who another player is, or where they are, beyond what they've chosen to show.
• Don't cheat: no faking scans, gaming points, or tampering with clips or codes.
• Don't spam other players or push things on them. Want to do something bigger with clips — a fundraiser, a team event, a business? Ask us first: support@clipt.games.

We can remove content, suspend, or close accounts that break these rules, and we'll act quickly when a player's safety is involved. You can report or block any player from inside the app.

4. YOUR CONTENT

The decorations and messages you add are yours. By putting them on a clip you're letting Clipt show them to the players that clip reaches, which is the point. Don't add anything you don't have the right to add.

5. POINTS, BADGES, AND THE STORE

Points and badges are part of the game. Points can be spent in the Clipt Store on digital items at the rate the app shows. Points have no cash value outside the Clipt Store, can't be transferred or sold, and can't be exchanged for money. We may change how points are earned or what they can buy; if we do, we'll say so in the app. Points on a deleted or closed account are forfeited; the app tells you your balance before you delete.

6. BUYING CLIPS

Physical clips and other items are sold through the Clipt Store, with payment handled by Stripe. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. If a clip arrives broken or its code won't scan, write to support@clipt.games with a photo and we'll send a replacement. We can't replace clips that are lost, and because each clip carries a unique code, we can't take returns for a change of mind.

7. YOUR ACCOUNT, YOUR CALL

You can delete your account any time from Settings → Account; your hops on clips you've passed on stay as "Someone" with no city, and your points are forfeited. We can close accounts that break Section 3 or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm someone.

8. DISCLAIMERS AND LIABILITY

Clipt is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and fair, but we can't promise it will always work, that a clip will always be scannable, or that the game will stay the same forever. To the extent the law allows, Static Motion, LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Clipt, and our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing here limits rights the law says we can't limit.

9. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.

10. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado. If something goes wrong between us, let's talk first: support@clipt.games.
